Clarion 80 Cathedral (1931)

Clarion 80 Cathedral (1931)
Sold by Lew Magrish on August 4, 2009
Listed price on date of sale - $499.99
You are looking at one of the earliest and powerful eight-tube super-hets. This radio was one of the most deluxe and powerful radios of the era. The speaker is a huge 9 inches! The radio retains a very nice factory finish, with the speaker cloth and metal inset knobs exactly as it arrived from the factory. The grillework makes this radio a standout, with the intricate detailing on the sides. The classic looks alone, and the powerful chassis, made this a living room centerpiece. My technician has done a quality job replacing the filters and caps. He has tested the radio and all of the components for factory correct values and safe operations. The radio has a new reproduction silk cord and Bakelite plug for your safety. The radio, shouldered as a cathedral, measures 19-3/4"H x 16"W x 11-1/2"D.
