Zenith 12-S-265 Robot Dial Console (1938)

Zenith 12-S-265 Robot Dial Console (1938)
Zenith 12-S-265 Robot Dial Console (1938)
Sold by Bob Horace on December 25, 2011
Listed price on date of sale - $1,500.00
This console has been in my collection for quite a few years. It is a Zenith twelve-tube shutter (Robot) dial which means the dial changes as you change the bands. It plays like dynamite on all three bands. The sound that comes out of the radio is just beautiful. It also has motorized tuning as well as a green tuning eye for fine tuning. The cabinet (43" high) is original and in very good shape with a few blemishes on one side and a small repair on the top. The chassis and beehive speaker are in excellent shape. I have electronically restored this radio with all new capacitors, resistors that were out of tolerance and good tubes. I will not ship this radio because I do not want it destroyed. I will travel up to 500 miles from Fayetteville, NC, one way to deliver it or meet you. My cost for delivery depends on how far I go. To give you an idea. 500 miles one way would be $350. 100 miles would be $100 or so. This is an excellent price for this radio.
