General Electric J-80 Cathedral (1932)

General Electric J-80 Cathedral (1932)
Sold by Tom Hunt on December 2, 2019
Listed price on date of sale - $479.00
One of the most advanced and strong playing radios of the era. Gothic two-toned cabinet which shows and plays beautifully. It looks like an older refinish, but maybe recent. Everything else, grille cloth, dial, escutcheon, knobs, etc. appear to be original. This is an eight-tube superhet that has been recently recapped, etc.; strong player. Rust-free chassis and maintains the original factory tag. Absolute "King of the Cathedrals," IMO. Heavy radio. About 18-1/2"H x 13"W x 10"D.
