The Airline brand was marketed by Montgomery-Wards catalog and department stores. This model was built by the Belmont Radio, Co. of Chicago, IL. It is a very attractive radio and displays well in any location in your home or office. The radios has seven tubes including the green magic tuning eye, AM, SW and Police bands. It has a multi colored dial and a small dial in the larger dial for tighter tuning. It has a chrome chassis and had some surface rust and was thoroughly cleaned and treated. All the controls were cleaned and lubricated and operate properly and smoothly. A new dial belt was installed and a new polarized AC cord for safety. I tested all the tubes and replaced any weak or defective tubes with NOS tubes. All the electrolytic and wax paper capacitors were replaced. Resistors were checked and any out of tolerance were replaced. The cabinet was stripped and toned with period correct Mohawk tones and clear lacquer. The plastic dial cover was yellowed and cracked and was replaced. The speaker grille cloth was worn and weathered; it was replaced with a period correct pattern that is far more attractive than the original. The radio has good volume and tone and is displayed and played in my bedroom. 17-1/2"W x 10"H x 8"D.
