Silvertone 4566 (1937)
Sold by Joe Millward on February 10, 2019
Listed price on date of sale - $599.00
Here is a 1937 Silvertone made by Detrola for Sears "Golden Jubilee" series of radios. This is a high-performing seven-tube, two-band (SB, SW) radio that receives with great tone and sensitivity. At Joe's Radio Shop, there are never shortcuts or temporary repairs but full electronic restoration by some of the most talented in the industry. All of the capacitors have been replaced, resistors and tubes checked and replaced where needed. Notice the bright green tuning eye seldom seen on table sets. A safety fuse was added and an audio cable installed. The cabinet is a beautiful work of art. The body is Walnut with exotic Australian Laurel on the front. The top is so rich in color that the Walnut looks like Mahogany. The chassis is clean and the speaker, Tenite knobs and escutcheon are original to the radio. Here is a beautiful radio you can play and display. 17"W x 11"H x 9"D.
