This unique Westinghouse "Little Jewel" radio resembles a mini refrigerator and that's no accident. It was given as a premium to customers who bought a new Westinghouse refrigerator in the years 1945-1947. Imagine this great looking little radio warmly playing Moonlight Serenade as the last dishes of the day were dried and put away. This is an AC-powered AM radio, receiving the standard broadcast band. Its sturdy cabinet is made of plastic and metal. Small enough to be easily moved, it has a swing-up handle for easy transport. This radio uses six tubes, including an RF (radio frequency) amplifier. Despite the small size, it is a powerful little set and it is great at pulling in distant stations. Let this "Little Jewel" bring back the golden days of radio to your home or office. Expertly restored inside and out. This set has had all period capacitors replaced, and resistors checked. All controls have been cleaned and lubed to operate as new. A new modern power cord has added. Comes with a one-year warranty on the electrical restoration. 9"H x 6"W x 4"D.
