|Here's a beautiful Zenith "Stars & Stripes" pre-War completely refinished model from 1938-39. This particular Zenith is highly prized among serious collectors. This is the less common model 6-J-322, as it has dual power and works on AC 110V or DC battery by a switch on the back. Batteries for the radio are expensive if available, and really not required in this day and age. The radio is working & playing fine when using AC power and an extended antenna wire. This model is referred to as the "Stars & Stripes" for its beautiful brass escutcheon. It's a beautiful example from Zenith case designers. The brass escutcheon has been polished back to like new condition. The grille cloth and the knobs are completely original. It has a striking gold dial and clear glass original cover, and also twin dial lamps. Four knobs for on/off/volume, tone, band (AM or Short Wave), and tuning. And it has five original pushbuttons and dial station tabs. I love radios that showed up in movies. This set was featured in "RIO RITA" with Lou Costello. Nazi spies were trying to sneak bombs into the USA from Mexico. About 17-1/2"W x 11-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.|
