Emerson radios sold!
|Sold by David Spivey on August 17, 2016|
Listed price on date of sale - $129.00
|A beautiful Emerson maroon Styrene cabinet radio from mid-century, whose design has been attributed to the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy. Loewy is famous for his designs of planes, trains, automobiles and the Coke bottle. Made in 1949. The same design was produced a year later (Models 602C and 636A) in FM and AM versions. The only difference was in the front grille design. The radio has been completely checked by a professional, and is playing perfectly, receiving all my local AM stations with no annoying filter hum, and many distant stations at night. This case has just a few scratches and rubs, but no serious cosmetic issues. It retains its original back and knobs. Great rich maroon color. About 9"W x 6"H x 6"D.|
