Truetone "Victory" (1942)

Truetone "Victory" (1942)
Truetone "Victory" (1942)
Sold by David Spivey on September 17, 2013
Listed price on date of sale - $159.00
Truetone "V" for Victory radio in excellent condition. Colorful two toned leatherette covering. Original advertising stated it was "washable." This was truly a one-of-a-kind designed radio to invoke patriotism. Six tubes produce good local AM reception in my area. The case is in very nice condition for 70+ years, and even has its original grille cloth and back. I believe that the radio utilizes a Truetone Model D-1011 radio chassis. Truetone was a brand made for & sold by Western Auto Stores, and many chassis were substituted in many radio models. Own a piece of history. About 12"W x 5"H x 6"D.
