A very beautiful restored AM/SW radio from the late 30s. The case has a very swirled like red walnut front and sides with a solid dark walnut top which makes for an outstanding display along with the original wood knobs. Two outer large knobs control ON/OFF Volume and Tuning. The two smaller inner knobs with flowered centers control Tone and Band selection. The dial is very beautiful and is illuminated with two bulbs making it stand out when lit. The AM portion of the dial has 37 station identifications along with the dial frequency and the SW (6-19MHz) section has 31 countries listed along with the frequency. Very attractive dial surrounded with a brass bezel. The speaker cloth has been replaced with a reproduction. Has five tubes and a 5" speaker which allow for its supherb reception and outstanding tone. This is just one outstanding example of Western Air Patrol engineering. Click on my Restoration Process for more information. 13"W x 8"H.
