![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
| This radio is referred to as the Candy Cane Radio due to the shape of the dial scale surround and sold by Sears under the "Commentator" name. The radio is an "All American" Five tube radio. There were several different colors/variations of the candy cane series. This somewhat rarer one has the addition of mechanical push button presets. The natural finish cabinet is crack free with a few minor blemishes consistent with its age. It has a beautiful marble swirl pattern throughout. The chassis has been recapped, a strong tested set of tubes populate the tube sockets and a bold lighted dial that really pops in a dark room! It plays loud and strong across the dial, easily receiving all of my local stations. Note: this compact radio does not feature my usual 3.5mm aux cord. 10-1/2"W x 6"H x 6"D. |
