![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
| Art Deco Zenith styling in this 1939 radio designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most prolific designers. Nice natural finish marble swirl cabinet with one small stress crack on the top back side radius that is structurally sound and does not detract from the overall "streamline moderne" appeal of the cabinet. The factory white model number stamp is still present on the underside. Knobs and rear cover are original. It has been recapped, tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated, so it plays well with its long wire antenna extended or use the attached 3.5mm aux cord to play your own content through the radio. FYI, this model was a movie star! It appeared with Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in "Strike Up the Band" (1940), and also with Rooney and Freddie Bartholomew again in "A Yank at Eton" (1942). 11"W x 7"H x 7-1/2"D. |
