Bendix 626A (1946)
(plastic tube table radio w/SW)

Bendix 626A (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Large six-tube post war Bendix featuring both AM & SW. All housed in a stylish cabinet with a beautiful multi-colored glass dial that looks almost neon in a dark room as the word "BENDIX" is showcased by the dial light! The cabinet was repaired and repainted in the factory cream-white enamel and really looks nice. It has a two-position tone control and turn the switch one more position and you can use the built in RCA jack in the back to play your phonograph or other audio source through the radio (in lieu of a 3.5mm aux cord). The chassis has been gone through with all new wax and filter capacitors, and all out of tolerance resistors replaced. Comes with a strong tested set of tubes with the inevitable corrosion removed from the Loctal tube pins. The controls were cleaned and lubricated. It plays loud and clear across the AM band with its built-in loop antenna, easily receiving all of my local stations. SW reception on these sets is hit and miss and almost always requires an external antenna. 12-1/2"W x 8"H x 8-1/2"D.
