THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Most of Philco's model line-up for 1947 were hold-overs from 1946, even retaining their "46-" model numbers. However, this unusual set was one of only two table models introduced as bona fide new 1947 models. The cabinet made of a composite wood/plastic material, reminiscent of the early 30's repwood cabinets. Even the back cover retains the same faux woodgrain pattern as the cabinet (with a very cool cut out spelling out the word PHILCO). This is the early model, featuring a metal framed grille. This model was soon changed to an all-plastic grille and became the 47-204. It has been gone through with all new filter and paper capacitors, strong tested set of tubes, controls cleaned and lubricated. It plays loud and clear across the AM band with its built-in loop antenna, easily receiving all of my local stations. 3.5mm cord installed for more listening options. 13-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D.
