Airline 6A26 (1939)
(plastic tube table radio)

Airline 6A26 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Art Deco meets streamline Moderne in this classic cabinet designed six-tube Montgomery Ward brand radio. Cabinet was repainted in Mint Green and Black which offers a striking contrast. Paint is not perfect, there are some blemishes here and there but it displays nicely. Has a bright, nearly NOS eye tube and the original back intact. This radio may be best suited to using the attached 3.5 mm aux cord and playing your own audio material through it. While completely recapped and every component checked and replaced where it could be, even scavenging parts from a second parts set, the tuner does not track across the whole dial range. All stations are compressed from around 900 on the dial on up. I was able to get my two strongest local stations, however, so you may get some of your local stations as well. Just not in the correct place on the dial despite careful alignment, so the set is priced accordingly. 11-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 7"D.
