Zenith 6-S-527 (1941)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 6-S-527 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Classic pre-war six-tube Zenith. Receives AM & shortwave. It has been recapped, Tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated, so it plays well, receiving my strong local stations with the Zenith Wave Magnet antenna. Cabinet was completely refinished with toners & topped with a spray of clear enamel. Note the metal Zenith embossed pre-set trimmer control cover located under the pushbutton bank is missing and was replaced with a computer created cardstock cover using the original logo. It was so convincing I didn't notice it until I disassembled the cabinet! There are four station preset buttons however the latching mechanism for them is worn and despite adding more spring tension to try to compensate, the buttons still stick. So it is not advisable to use the push buttons. The fifth button on the right side must be pushed in for dial tuning. My usual 3.5mm aux cord could not be added on this set due to circuit design. 15-1/2"W x 8-3/4"H x 8"D.
