Referred to as the "Toaster" by collectors, this nifty little Zenith 6D525 must have been one of the hottest sellers of all time. Almost 100 of them have sold on the Attic topping out at $399. Getting the lacquer in all of those little slots and that wooden speaker grille was a challenge, but I finally got it. The result is a very attractive little radio with pretty darn good performance thanks to the rare, dedicated RF amplifier tube. The back cover is a little beat up, but I like having the original on there. Someone replaced the antenna with one from a 6D520. That has a tone switch on it, which I thought was good, so I implemented it and drilled a hole for the switch, unfortunately right in the middle of the logo. The knobs are reproductions. All in all a very nice little radio. If you aren't one of the hundred folks who already bought one, here's your chance to jump on the bandwagon. 12"W x 7-1/2"H x 7"D. $379.00. (1680184)
