In the small, AA5 wood cabinet table radio category, you will be hard pressed to beat this very attractive Stewart-Warner 07-5R5. The Ingraham cabinet is covered with gorgeous veneers, sensuous curves, and an attractive grille design. The original finish was very nice so I touched it up and left it. The grain is showing in the walnut burl front, but only if you look very close. My usual thorough chassis rebuild produced a fairly good player on the internal antenna, with a screw terminal for more distant listening. The shortwave band, selected by a switch on the back, only goes to 7 Mhz, but works fairly well. All high testing tubes for long service life. This is a very attractive little radio, and is also rare. Only one has sold on the Attic at $350. 15"W x 7"H x 7"D. $329.00. (1680182) |
