THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I had to pay a little too much for this G&F Sales Searchlight radio, but it is just so darn cool! There is a vigorous discussion as to whether this radio ever sold retail, or if it was just given out as prizes somewhere. Manufactured by Pacific Radio Corp, the six-tube chassis is decent, and the sound from the 5-inch speaker is pretty good. I gave it a nice, slick finish. The sides were tinted very dark when I got it, and I had to stick with that due to some very uneven woodgrain. My usual thorough chassis restoration produced a pretty good receiver. The eye tube is brand new and bright. The color coded dial is brightly lit. It has a couple of very small cracks that don't protrude into the face. You don't see a lot of this very unique model. Only five have sold on the attic topping out at $2150 in 2019. Broadcast and two shortwave bands. Requires an external antenna. 18" x 13"W x 7"D.
