THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

For some reason, the smaller 5S319, with the smaller speaker and less ornate cabinet, sold like crazy. About 50 have sold on the Attic topping at $800. Only four of this much nicer 5S320, with a more ornate cabinet, larger speaker and the same chassis are listed, topping at $485 last year. Fronted by the classic and very popular "Racetrack" dial, these 5S320s were pretty nice radios, with five channel presets, a tone switch, broadcast and shortwave, and a very attractive and ornate three-tone cabinet. I gave it a very slick finish with 15 coats of lacquer and three sanding operations. The 5529 chassis is a very good performer after my usual, thorough restoration. All high testing tubes for long service life. A full alignment produced an accurate, brightly lit dial. I did a very professional repair of a tear in the speaker and treated it with an application of the wonderful Parts Express "wet look" coating, giving it better bass response and preventing further tearing. The resulting sound is better than most 5-inch speakers. This is an extremely nice example of this model. Don't miss your chance to get a better radio for a lot less money, and have something in your collection that few people have. Requires external antenna. 16"W x 9"H x 8"D.
