![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
| First time this color on the Attic! 1953 Philco model 53-563 "Split Level." Five tubes, AM reception. Offered in Black, Red or the most difficult color to find, Green/Gray. This rare "split-level" designed radio is one of the coolest mid-century cabinet designs that Philco ever produced. The chassis has been reviewed by a pro tech who has replaced any weak or failed components such as tubes, capacitors and resistors. The Lucite gold waffle grille is in mint condition as are the knobs with gold center pieces, original slide-rule dial and back panel. The cabinet retains its original paint and a nice shine but does have a few minor flea bites. The case has no cracks, chips or repairs. Has a built in antenna and the dial moves as designed and the radio receives stations along the dial. Please carefully review all photos as they give the best cosmetic description of the radio. About 13-1/2"W x 6"H x 5-1/2"D. The original manufacturer's labels are still attached to the bottom panel. I've had this radio in my pet and smoke free home for about 15 years. Shipping via FedEx Ground/Home fully insured is $25 anywhere in the continental USA. I accept Venmo, Zelle or emailed checks (front and back). Unfortunately, I no longer accept PayPal or mailed checks. |
