Emerson 744B "Bandshell" (1954)
(plastic tube table radio)

Emerson 744B "Bandshell" (1954)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

1954 Emerson model 744B. Five tubes, AM reception. Nicknamed the "Bandshell." One of the most sought-after models of the 1950s and one of my favorite designs. Original beige with maroon front and "wheel" controls. Not a repaint and no 3D printed parts- all original! Plaskon cabinet with styrene dial face/grille, knobs and feet are all factory original and free of any cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. The front styrene feet on this example are intact and in perfect shape, a rarity for this model. Most of the original manufacturer's label is still attached to the bottom panel. I've had this radio in my pet and smoke free home for about 15 years. It plays and picks up stations but I have not had it recently electronically restored. You'll be hard pressed to find another example in such excellent cosmetic condition. About 11"W x 9"H x 7"D. Shipping via FedEx Ground/Home fully insured is $25 anywhere in the continental USA. I accept Venmo, Zelle or emailed checks (front and back). Unfortunately, I no longer accept PayPal or mailed checks.
