Zenith 5-S-319 "Racetrack" (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one off my personal shelf & is as good as it gets when it comes to this particular model. I believe it to be all original including knobs, dial, dial cover, grille cloth, knobs, pushbuttons, speaker, as well as finish. Notice the original faux zebra finish on the band that runs vertically on right hand side. These are often times gone & can't be recreated! Notice the great patina on the dial escutcheon which is sometimes removed leaving it brass & shiny, but it is so near perfect I elected to leave original like the rest of this beauty. Having said that I will shine to a brassy finish if the buyer wishes. Very clean rust-free chassis also. Whole radio is a 9.5 out of 10 in my book. All I did is feed the wood with Howards Oil. Very strong performer all across the brightly lit dial with only the short antenna attached. It was totally restored couple of years ago by a tech friend of mine. Can't find fault to report... simply a great little Zenith ready for play/display. Reasonably priced compared to others you may have seen. 13-1/2"W x 9"H x 8"D.
