![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This stately Emerson from 1938 has a three-piece cabinet, with the front and center sections made of ivory Plaskon, and the rear of black Bakelite. This cabinet has not been clear-coated to create an artificial gloss; the beautiful finish you see is the Plaskon itself. Minor repairs have been made to the cabinet, but you will not easily see them with a casual glance. The chassis is a five-tube two-band circuit, with broadcast and police band (the knob on the back is the bandswitch). This radio has had a full electrical restoration, with new capacitors, a replacement oscillator coil, and a full RF/IF alignment. A modern polarized power cord and fuse have been installed to bring this radio up to more modern safety standards. Sound quality and sensitivity are as good as new. Lighted dial. 13"W x 8-1/4"H x 7"D. |
