![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
| One is the first Crosley "Color Radios" that received both AM & FM, and a hard model to find. It has a cool 1950's Retro design. This model was made in a very colorful leatherette covering and painted Bakelite case. The original ad for the radio stated that "Series 11-126 has great sensitivity to give you better reception on all stations. The sturdy plastic case is available in four rich simulated leather combinations." Only two of these Crosley models have been sold on the Attic, and I sold one of them several years ago. Both radios were in this brown leatherette color. I have never seen one in another color. After 75 years, the leatherette covering on these sets is usually in terrible condition. I believe a lot of people let their cigarettes sit on the top edge while they played the radio! Not a good idea! But the covering on this set has survived in excellent condition. Just a very few minor scratches and marks, but no tears, or rips or major issues. The original paint is also in great shape. The chassis has been checked completely by a pro, and the radio is playing fine on both AM & FM. There is a complete label on the bottom, and the dial lamp works fine. Here is a great listening alternative to just AM. About 12"W x 7"H x 7"D. |
