Here is a nice and reliable player. Made for Sears by one of the finest contract factories, these compact tombstone models offered inexpensive and solid performance. The radio has been refinished by a previous collector and the work was nice. There are a few scratches on the right side, which is predictable for the 8+ decades of use. The factory added striped African mahogany on the face to embellish the look. The speaker cloth and knobs are correct factory originals. The six-tube super-het chassis offers both AM and shortwave reception. The radio also has a full range tone control allowing you to adjust the sound tone to your tastes.
