Here is a terrific radio. Philco made some of the best and this high tube count (eight tubes) was next to one other model, the best they made. Shaped with a tapered "sky scraper" cabinet, these radios were futuristic looking radios. The only larger "skyscraper" is the eleven-tube model 166B. The powerful chassis is a fine super-het offering both AM and shortwave. Everything is factory original with the cabinet showing a modest amount of wear. I decided to simply clean and oil this example as the originality was pretty good. The speaker cloth and knobs are the factory originals. My technician has completed his professional repairs and the performance is outstanding. Added to the circuit is a 3.5 mm mini-jack allowing your attachment of any modern device.
