![]() THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A very uncommon set from the Transformer Corp. of American of New London, CT, this has a thick mellowed white Plaskon case with no cracks, chips or hairlines. The electronics have been serviced. A new power cord was installed, it has all new capacitors, the tubes were checked and replaced as needed. This particular radio has been played a long time and has a great sound for a five tube radio with a 5" speaker, picking up stations across the dial. The original cardboard back is present, the chunky case with thick louvers has a sporadic serrated upper back edge due to factory cutting technique and there is somewhat darker swirl on the top due to aging differences. Late 40's vintage. Domestic S&H included in price. About 12-1/4"W x 7-1/4"H x 5-1/2"D. |
