Stromberg-Carlson built some beautiful, high quality sets in the thirties, and this is one of their most collectable sets. The 225H cabinet is gorgeous, using Brazilian Rosewood and walnut veneers, with ma-le inlays. The beautiful tulip grille work along with its ebony lacquer accents are breathtaking. This set still has its original finish and its original grille cloth, in amazing condition to be 86 years old. This set has had an electronic restoration, replacing all paper and filter caps, out of tolerance resistors, a new line cord has been added. The 225H has the Broadcast band as well as two Shortwave bands, and plays loud and clear. This is an AC/DC set as well.
