Crosley 428 "Vanity Deluxe" (1938)
Crosley 428 "Vanity Deluxe" (1938)

My passion is table top radios circa 1935-1955. This Ivory Plaskon Crosley is one of the nicest specimens I have ever seen! In my opinion, at least three of the five tubes are original! It still has its original back. It has new capacitors, resistors checked. It plays good! I even inserted sample station call letters in the push buttons (that work). Note: I have not replaced the original fabric woven power cord, because, like the radio, it is in mint condition (see attached picture). In the old days these power cords had a resistance element built into them. If coiled up under a rug behind the drapes it could be problematic. Again, this cord is just like the radio and, used responsibly, there should be no problem whatsoever. If you'd like additional pics please let me know.
