Zenith 6-D-116 AM/SW (1939)

Zenith 6-D-116 AM/SW (1939)
FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING!  Here is another excellent "Big Black Dial" AM/Shortwave Zenith. This radio is in great shape. If Snow White ever owned a tube radio, this is it! It was repainted by someone, to match an original Zenith color, but I don't know who. The work is excellent! The set looks as pure as the driven snow. The three zenith "Z" knobs look too good to be original and are probably reproductions. The white Zenith "Z" dial pointer appears to have been repainted with the cabinet. This is one stately beautiful set! There are no chips or cracks in the cabinet, but there are a couple edge paint chips on the back of the set. My Tech friend Tom replaced the electrolytic caps and the line cord, and it plays well. I pick up plenty of AM, and some short wave chatter on the 1.6 to 5.0 MHz band on a short wire in my cellar. An outdoor antenna would be needed for short wave DXing. 13-1/2"W x 8"H x 7-1/2"D.  $395.00. (1620019)
