Crosley 58 "Buddy Boy" (1931)

NEW!This is a really nice example of a Buddy Boy! The cabinet looks like finely carved walnut, but it is actually made of a mixture of sawdust and tar, molded under heat and pressure. It is called repwood. The 58 is a five-tube, AM only TRF radio. We replaced all of the capacitors with modern equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where needed. A safety fuse, power cord and audio input cable for Bluetooth have been added. A preamp will be needed for Bluetooth because of the circuit. The original cabinet is in excellent condition. Gary cleaned the cabinet and applied a coat of satin lacquer. The radio looks like new and picks up stations across the dial. The original knobs, chassis, 1 to 100 meter dial scale, and 8-inch speaker are with the radio. you won't find a nicer buddy boy anywhere... Make it yours today! 17"H x 15-1/2"W x 10"D.  $995.00.
