Zenith R511F (1956)
(plastic tube table radio)

Zenith R511F (1956)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Plastic and Bakelite table radios from the 1950's and 1960's were a form and function design, and these radios were plentiful and used on a daily basis most of their lives. That been said, we usually find them all the time, and the wear and tear is usually quite evident. This one is in excellent condition. This five-tube, AM only radio has the original yellow handle, the grille and knobs are perfect, and has a period correct Hunter Green cabinet to match! Blake has replaced the original paper capacitors with new polyester capacitors of equal values, checked the tubes and resistors and replaced them as needed. An alignment was done for peak performance. The cabinet was really nice to start with, and Gary polished it to remove any superficial scratches to a gleaming luster. There are no scratches, chips or cracks. All of the letters and numbers are sharp and bright with a really cool feature: there is a beam of light that follows the pointer on the dial scale. What a great price for a fun and totally retro radio! 11-1/2"W x 6"H x 6"D.
