Philco 40-155 (1940)

Philco 40-155 (1940)
Up for sale we have an eight-tube, four-band (SB, 2xSW and police) Philco. This strong playing radio has two 41 audio tubes for push-pull amplification. There were a few of these "slant face" designs made, basically using the same chassis but with different cabinets. Blake went through this radio replacing all of the capacitors, out-of-tolerance resistors, bad tubes and installed a new power cord with a safety fuse. The radio was aligned and plays well on all bands. Gary stripped and refinished the radio to give it that beautiful "factory fresh" look. The knobs and grille cloth are original. Please allow $38 for packing and shipping. 18"W x 11"H x 12-1/2"D.  $399.00. (1600034)
