Kadette 50 Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Kadette 50 Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Without question, Kadette made some of the most stylish radios in their day and this is certainly one of their nicer ones. A small AM broadcast TRF set with loads of Art Deco influence. I'm not saying it is rare; however, this is the first example I have seen for sale on The Attic. The set was produced between 1934 and 1935 and would have most likely been seen in a bedroom or parlor, as it didn't take up much space and added glamor to any décor. This beautiful cabinet has been refinished using the finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous finish. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays very nicely on the AM Broadcast band. As it is a TRF set, typically the longer your antenna, the better reception you'll have. 14-1/2"H x 11-1/2"W x 6-1/2"D.
