A beautiful radio which was manufactured by Detrola for Air Castle. A glorious Art Deco design in a lovely cabinet with a "magic" tuning eye. Like most, I've always found the green eye tube to be very mesmerizing in a dark room, imagining families gathered around it listening to the old radio series, like the Green Hornet, Boston Blackie and Fibber McGee and Molly. The cabinet has been carefully restored using the finest lacquers and toning lacquers. The electronics have been restored and it receives both the AM Broadcast band and Shortwave stations quite nicely. This Air Castle will add value to anyone's collection.
