Pickwick Radio (1930s)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Evidently Pickwick was a small start-up company that didn't survive. The cabinet is made of solid boards, no plywood, no veneer, with rather simple joints and some hand-chiseling inside. It's a three-band, transformer-powered set with a sort of primitive appeal. This set has had many parts replaced, not only most of the capacitors and some resistors, but even the power transformer and the loudspeaker. By now it's a pretty reliable set. The cabinet is undamaged; the knobs are "new" vintage RCA knobs. 18"W x 10"H x 10"D.
