Sparton 132 (1950)

Sparton 132 (1950)
A really nice ivory Sparton Retro radio from 1950, nicknamed the "Football" radio for obvious reason. These cases were made out of plastic, and consequently most of the survivors show a lot of wear. But this case is in very nice condition, and few scratches and rubs, but no cracks, tube burns or major cosmetic issues. A couple of repairs were made to the plastic pieces inside the case that hold the back on the set. It does have its original back and original knobs with brass inserts. The chassis has been checked by a pro, and everything needing changing was replaced. The radio is playing well without any background hum, picking up all my local AM stations. About 13"W x 6"H x 6"D.  $179.00. (1150592)
