Zenith 6-D-614 (1942)
(plastic tube table radio)

Zenith 6-D-614 (1942)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This 1942 completely restored Zenith radio is one of the classic pre-War Zenith designs before the company switched over to military production. This set was designed by Robert Davol Budlong, Zenith's most prolific designer. This Budlong design is known to current generations as the "Darth Vader" radio. Nice original contrasting butterscotch knobs against the black painted case give this set instant appeal. The six-tube chassis has been checked by a pro, and the set plays very well picking up all my local AM stations during the day, and many distant stations at night with an internal loop antenna. The radio has a Retro-Tronics back. About 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
