Zenith 5-S-29 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 5-S-29 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This Zenith is a very popular model with collectors. A true performer despite the low tube count, it was among the first of the "Black Dial" sets. This particular set has been electronically restored and plays as it did when it was new covering the AM broadcast band as well as shortwave 1.5-4.5 MHz and 6-18 MHz. The cabinet had veneer warping and cracking which has been repaired but is still visible on close inspection at the rear of the side of the cabinet. The grille cloth is a Zenith style production. The set still displays very nicely and is a great example of Zenith quality. $35.00 for shipping & insurance.
