Zenith 6-B-129 Tombstone (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 6-B-129 Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a very nice and unusual Zenith tombstone. It is a six tube battery radio that was converted to A/C many years ago. This set has the very desirable Zenith black dial; it also has a concave grille which is very unusual for radios from this era. It has had all the capacitors replaced and works very well on the A/M band, but does not work on the short wave band. The finish was in decent condition when found, but the trim areas had lost most of their color. I have used colored lacquer to re-color these areas and then clear coated the entire radio to freshen up the finish. It looks great, does have a few dings here and there, but is still a beautiful radio. The grille cloth has been replaced as the old one was dry rotted. The chassis was cleaned and has no rust. The speaker had one small tear and has been repaired. As with all my radios I give an unconditional guarantee for 30 days. But please be aware that this is extremely large it is 22-1/2"H x 16-1/2"W x 12"D. I have estimated the weight at 40 pounds and will cost about $60.00 to ship. Please ask any questions and get more photos before buying.
