Detrola radios sold!

Detrola 254 "Monarch"
(wood tube table radio)

Detrola 254 "Monarch"

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Project! This set is rare. Overused word, I know, but in this case, it's rare. I have scores of radio guides that help me identify all types of radios that I've never otherwise laid eyes on. This set is in none of them, although there is confirmation of its existence through it appearance in Rider's schematics. This six-tube set is untested. It has all of its original components except I do not think that the middle knob is correct. The set's wood cabinet is spectacular! The design is jaw-dropping, Art Deco, and Detrola-only quality. Does have very slight area of clear coat wear on the top due to tube heat. The original field coil speaker and original output transformer are there, but the paper cone needs replacement. All tubes are present and tested high quality. The original dial pointer is present. Set will need to be restrung. The slide rule station dial is present and perfect. In all, a rare find.
