Here is an excellent Browning Drake battery radio that has been cosmetically restored. There were many kit sets made by Browning Drake, but only factory finished sets have the Browning-Drake label, so this a factory finished set. The "R" in the model number means that the audio stages are resistance-coupled. This is a regenerative design, instructions for tuning are included. It uses National Company's "Velvet Vernier" dials. Click here for an article about this radio's history. I have tested it and it works as it should. Includes five tubes: three 01As for detection and audio, a 19 for RF, and a 20 for final output. That is $130 worth of tubes! Both output jacks are working. Additional pics available. Requires antenna, power supply and speaker (or headphones). 24"W x 12"D x 10"H, shipping weight 25 pounds.
