Crosley 10-138 Coloradio (1950)
(plastic tube table radio)

Crosley 10-138 Coloradio (1950)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This stunning maroon "Coloradio" was manufactured by Crosley Radio Corpoaration, and is really striking! There were several colors available, and they are commonly referred to as "Dashboard" radios, due to the similarity to automobile dashboards of the time. This example is in super condition with only a few paint chips (cabinet has original paint!) There are no cracks, it shines very well without any polish (see the reflections, especially on the radio top, of the crack in the door), and it has the original back! The gold plated bezel and knobs are in very good condition. If you are looking for a near perfect example of an early 50s radio, this could be it. It plays great, has been restored electronically to like new condition: all caps replaced, all resistors checked and out of tolerance ones replaced, all tubes tested with weak ones replaced. It covers the broadcast band. It is a wonderful radio, and could be a highlight of your collection! Please see the white model 10-135 I have listed. 13"W x 7"H x 7"D, shipped weight 12 pounds.
