THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a late battery operated radio, one of the last of its type before power line operated radios made them obsolete in 1928. Its Boston manufacturer appears to have been mail-order only and this is the only example of this make I have seen. It doesn't appear in any guide books that I have, apparently is quite uncommon if not overly valuable. The set is offered as found, untested with one of its five tubes missing and the rest likely not operational. Tubes were sold separately for these radios. The selling price was $24.50 and tubes were $1.50 each. It has its quota of wear but as can be seen, is very presentable. The inset front panel is painted wood grain metal, very good shape. All original as manufactured. It comes with a repro magazine ad (Radio News, Oct. 1927) laminated in plastic. Not many of your friends will have one of these.
