Philco 70 Cathedral (1931)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 70 Cathedral (1931)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a real beauty! This radio is the icon of antique radios. It is identical in looks to the model 90. It has been completely redone inside and out. I restuffed all the Bakelite caps with fresh modern caps, and the Merchon filters with modern replacements. I replaced resistors as needed and aligned it. Email me for photos of the chassis underneath. The radio plays loud and clear across the band (needs an antenna wire). The finish is stain/toner, grain filler and about four coats of lacquer. This radio has all globe tubes as it did when it was new. There are two Arcturus blue tubes where you can see them. It is a pleasure to look at from the front or the back. Original Bakelite knobs and plug, new cloth covered cord and new reproduction grille cloth. About 40 lbs after packing, it will need an oversize package. 18"H x 17"W x 11"D.
