Zenith 4-B-313 (1939)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Zenith 4-B-313 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a beautiful Art Deco set of the late thirties showing the "Streamlined" design of that day. The unpainted Bakelite case is flawless with no cracks or chips at all. Look at the detail photos and notice the natural marbeling of the brown and black Bakelite. I only enhanced its natural beauty with a little wax and a good polishing. The radio was originally a 6VDC set designed for rural residents who didn't have electric power yet to their homes so they could use this radio with a car battery. I have since redesigned the power supply by removing the vibrator and replacing it with a tube and changing the power transformer. I also replaced all the capacitors and out of tolarence resistors. The radio plays loud and clear and of course my warranty applies. Shipping weight 11 pounds.
