Atwater Kent 84 Cathedral (1932)

Atwater Kent 84 Cathedral (1932)
This is a very nice example of a desired Atwater Kent cathedral radio. The company had a fine reputation for making the finest radios of this era. These fine electronics were the most advanced of the early super-het era, and the factory made some of the finest cabinets as well. This example has a very nice and accurate refinished cabinet, period correct reproduction speaker cloth and factory knobs. This particular radio has a beautiful book matched veneer front. This radio is remarkable for 85+ years of service. This radio offers Broadcast reception only, as it was created before the shortwave era. The radio has an accurate cloth covered cotton/silk reproduction power cord and plug. The radio is a classic seven-tube super-het with automatic volume control. My technician has done an outstanding job making the repairs to the radio, and it plays great. He also added a 3.5mm mini-jack to this set, allowing you to connect any modern device to the radio and play an unlimited amount of content of your choice. Bluetooth is available for $25. 19"H x 15-1/2"W x 10"D.  $599.00. (0961458)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
