Zenith 6-S-226 "Cube" (1936)

Zenith 6-S-226 "Cube" (1936)
Nobody made better radios in the mid to late 1930's than Zenith Radio. The set before you is a perfect example of the earned reputation. The radio is a solid six-tube super-het chassis playing on both AM and Shortwave bands. The oversized 6-1/2" "black dial" which lights at night with a pair of lamps only furthered their fame. The radio is in a factory original condition and decent but not perfect shape. There is a bit of wear on the left side, but I deemed them not worth refinishing. The radio sounds great with a replacement full range speaker. Along with the brightly lit multi colored dial and with the iconic "Z" wood knobs the radio is a standout. Les has done a perfect repair and has the radio to a "like new" condition. Since these are solid players with the speaker spreading the sound from the top of the cabinet, he added a mini-jack at no additional cost. This will allow you an unlimited source of content. Use your phone, pad or computer as a modern device source. You will be amazed at the sound quality. Bluetooth is available for $25. 14"W x 12"H x 11"D.   $699.00. (0961319)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
