Pilot radios are seldom seen and offered for sale. They made superior quality sets and when found the collectors hoard these coveted sets. I noticed this is the very first example of this radio offered for sale on this site. The radio is a beauty, with a dramatically ornate cabinet with a banding of hand laid inlays contrasting the walnut veneers. The radio sports a hugely lit, (four bulbs) 6-inch and highly stationed dial. If you are a nighttime listener, the radio offers a dramatic effect. The cabinet is original finish with a minimal amount of wear. The base trim has been touched up. The speaker cloth is a replacement period cored pattern and the knobs are original. The chassis is a five-tube super-het that plays on both AM and Shortwave through a full range speaker. Les has completed his professional repairs and the radio plays as new. Les has added a mini-jack which allows the input of any modern device. Choose your phone, pad or computer and enjoy an unlimited choice of content.
